Man, I am really obsessively checking the black friday sales, looking for some deals on some flashlights. So many options out there...

And the other deciding factor is - do I get everyone the same light, or different lights for different people, so I can play with them all? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

spot any good deals?

so far, nothing that interests me. The coolest flashlights I can find are all ones that don't have any special sales going on.

Lots of deals on cheap lights, or generic ~200 lumen lights that don't have anything that makes me want them over my olight T10.

yeah, i got the email from dorcy direct about a bunch of lights on sale. it's like they're just now catching up with what fenix was doing a couple years ago.

olights are popping up frequnetly in my ebay searches, yet i'm not looking for flashlights.

I'm looking at the MG RX-1 from shiningbeam.com 600 lumens out the front on 2x CR-123A, for around 65 bucks.

Also thinking of Dereelight Javelins for gifts - serious throw from a 2xAA, for around 56 bucks. Nowhere near as bright as the RX-1, but they don't use specialized batteries so are better for non-flashaholics.

i'm not too familiar with those lights. outside of the common names, i don't know much about lights.

i wanna replace my fenix p1d. something of similar size, 1cr123 or 1AA. any suggestions?

I really dig the olight T10 I snagged in a 1xcr123. I think it's around 190 lumens on high, and has five total brightness modes. It has the goofy SOS and strobe, which I don't really need, but has a simple enough UI and memory, so works well for my needs.

The other cool thing about the olight is, for an extra 9 bucks you can get an alternate body, which uses a 1xAA, so you have a light that can use either battery choice.

However, some of the newer cr123 lights can go a bit brighter - I haven't really tried many of them, except the olight, and whatever I could find in the local sporting goods / outdoor stores. Most of the ones they had in stock were more around the 150 lumen spot, so the olight blows them away.
