true, i get stuff from countycomm real fast.
i'll probably make my order soon, just seeing what else i'll need. so far i got the bob xl, AAA light, small orange LED, carabiner...maybe the mini latern, survival mirror, more paracord...hmm
i still can't believe you have +10,000 posts over me, crazy, haha. maybe if i had a hundred gorgeous asian girls to hang out with all the time, i wouldn't be at the computer so often either. i feel that mirror is overpriced, as are most signal mirrors. which biner are you lookin at? non-climbing biners are given out free as promotional materials all the time.

hahah, no, i wish it was like that. do you have a signal mirror? maybe i should just make a one or throw a dvd in my BOB, heh. i was looking at the breakaway carabiner: http://www.countycomm.com/grimlock.htm thought it might be useful in case something snagged while I'm on the run, at $2 a piece, I might just get it to have (that's how my basket keeps going over my budget though, all the small things).

Mylar emergency blankets make great signal mirrors if you frame them with a few branches. BTW, good luck scoring those asian girls. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

i have a couple signal mirrors, but the main one i keep in my versipack is actually a glass mirror from the craft store, 2/$1, that i backed with some heavy duct tape. i use it for grooming too.
another option is to get the ritter pocket kit, which includes a mirror and quite a few other items for $25.
i think the grimlocks are mostly novelty. i use a carabiner when i need to carry three or more sets of keys (which has been frequent, lately) and it says AT&T on it. also, the trekker pen i gought today came with a mini biner that i might switch to.
