Hail Brothers!

Religious studies was one of my minors and I am Catholic by birth. I however have always been interested both in the Vikings and the natural environment. I just think that there is more to learn out in the woods than there is in a building.

I have a Thors hammer pendant on leather that I bought from Museum Replicas years ago. I also have Thor's symbol carved on a small bone pendant that I wear. Viking swords hold a place in my heart and as soon as I can I want to get one from Albion Swords. I event taought myself to read runes years ago, but now I stumble with 'em.

That said I follow more of a Native American Indian way and have a strong belief in the totem. I have a medicine bag with my totem in it as well as some of the stuff to help empower it. I love the simplicity of it all and when my custom forged knife comes in I will photograph my "primitive" kit. I use it when I want a hike in the woods to be very simple and back to nature.

Just this morning waitin on my wife I was outside just feeling the breeze on my face and the slight sprinkle of the occasional rain drop. The clouds were rolling and looked dark. It felt good before I had to come to my confining office.

I will tell you about some of the neat experiances I had with magic in Kenya back in '04 another time. In short my bosse's house had some bad witchcraft placed on it.

Thanks,

For reading,

Dan

I find all the more nature-based ways of worship to be similar. Near here in Savannah, GA and Beaufort, SC The famed Dr. Buzzard did his voodoo. Big juju.
Don't put the root on me Dan!

Everyone here is onmy good side! Sorry if I confused anyone however it wasn't me that did the witchcraft. It was someone from the village.

My boss is from a place called Kimilili in western Kenya. Back in '04 before I got to his house someone who was jealous of his succes here in the states put juju bages all around his house so that it would be struck down. The bags were found however after they were properly removed a cow next door was struck by lighting and killed.

To them this was a bad sign. Or it could have just been bad timing. either way they are very traditional people.

Better than the last village at the foot of Kasigau when they decided to cut off the water supply to the camp. That was on my last day back in '02. However my boss ticked off some of the villagers because we were only patronizing certain shops in the village instead of spreading the wealth. One day out in the field I see about 20 men with machetes walking our way funny thing was they had a dog with them too. They walk right up to me and start speaking to me in Swahili. I turned, looked to my boss and said "Chap, I think this is for you" and walked away. We were only a small group of seven however did have one rifle and soldier with us. I proceeded to go exploring with the soldier on the mountain while my boss cleared up the situation. All of this happened back in 2002.

Good times!

despite the norwegian nazi &^%$'a a lot of the scandanavian pagan traditions still survive with the Sami peoples .. some of them still practice shamanism and the like, methods that are very similar to central asian shamnistic traditions...

Your boss was either a real bad [censored] or a smooth talker(greased palms) in order to get out of that. Yowzaa!!

It all ended well. We hired on a couple of people from the next village to help and started to distribute the wealth, so to speak.

It all was rather funny because you didn't expect it. And the dog was the best part... like the dog was going to do something that they weren't

I just went about my business. My bosses brother is pretty high up in there government so we tend to get away with things. But some times we just piss off the locals...... Even in his own village.
