Sorry to hear about your doggie Zero. There few things sadder than having to put down a loved pet.
Never had a Bulldog but have heard second hand that they are great. They can be very protective I'm told.

For the full norse dog breed it would have to be a wolfhound. Fenris is the Wolf of Norse mythology. We could rename this thread the Bors saga thread?

Hmm, Bull Dogs fart ALL the time, snore, have many health issues and have a relatively short life expectancy. They also do not tolerate heat very well. Other than that they are great dogs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BulldogNow American Bull Dogs are a different story. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_BulldogBig, friendly dogs that are very intimidating looking. This is just my experience with the two breeds and remember, I'm really a cat person.

Ted, Thanks for the info on Bulldogs. I was raised with cats, but once I moved out of the parents home I realized I could breath. The wife & I are both allergic, but love cats.
One of my cats name was Lucifer, the other Merlin.

I grew up with cats also and have two at the moment. When we get out to the country we are planning to get at least one dog and another cat.

I love american bulldogs but I won't have one in the city as the bad rep from arsehole owners makes them a magnet for jerks. When I move into the country I will get one for sure. I dog sat for my friends pit puppy and it was so cute and affectionate. They do need lots of attention though.

I am not a huge dog lover, but dogs like me for some reason. My girls love dogs. The thing is I can have what I want out here. My next door neighbor has 8 dogs and 8 horses and two goats and dozens of raccoons, and a donkey. She loves it out here, and I love having her and her petting zoo out here. We have the space. I noticed so many of you are moving to the country soon. You will love it. Nothing beats the freedom of some space and nature. I wish you all success! May the Gods be with you.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
