Why would it need to be thicker? It has the polished blade. I just think that one Busse is all I'm ever going to buy. SYK is just the opposite. I'll probably buy most of them. I just wanted a shiny DF.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Oh, no particular reason. Just because it'd be a "different" knife - (edit: "otherwise") the DFLE will be the same performance wise, thats all.

You can get shiny with some stripper and polishing compound.
Karnack feels a cosmic disturbance...he foresees that the Danster has some additional tricks up his sleeve for the LE.

Karnack feels a cosmic disturbance...he foresees that the Danster has some additional tricks up his sleeve for the LE. makes sense, why else wouldn't it follow immediately? what if he's borrowing his bro's patended bevel technology?

Now... there's going to be a period of "I can't belive I just spent (well, $540 for me) on a knife."
Then you'll anticipate it's arrival.
Then, when you get it, you'll be like, "YIPPEEEE!!!"
And then, you'll be like... "I can't believe I just spent $540 on a knife."
And then after a couple of weeks, it becomes like a fixture and you don't even pay attention to how much it cost, just the fact that you have one. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Thanks my experience this far!!!
