I am actually coming off of a 12 month dry spell for purchases. Decided to de-debt myself this past year. Reduced my debt by about 70% and to the point that it is significantly lower than my assets. Feel better about buying things now!

I came close too. Just paid off one of our cars though, only have like $2,800 on the other one, and after my Army bonus I'll have my C Card down to about $2,500. About as good as I've had it in the last 7 years or so. Luckily, my credit is still real high (785 as of three months ago) and I have my APR at 2.8% on my credit card until next month (which is when I'm knocking it down by $5k!) I think the APR goes up to like 7% or so after the promotional rate expires...
