Oh, Ok. I was talking to the PostMaster about knives (if I've told this, I'm sorry) and I told him about "The Beast", my lainhart UC Bowie and how heavy it was. He asked me and Told him I didn't know and he said bring it in!

OK. Let's hear the story.

So here I go lugging this 14 inch knife into the post office (hey it WAS in the sheath) and he plops it down on the scale, almost 2 pounds! 1.92 pounds is what he said. Well the assistant Postmaster comes up and says "Cool", pulls it out of the sheath and starts hefting it like he was chopping something with it!

And he starts looking at closer and of course sees the finish half wore off and the nicks I haven't gotten completly out of the edge and says Boy you could take somebody's head off with this thing! And I said yeah you probably could, as I looked at the other 2 folks in line. Well he finally gave it back to me (I had to put it back in the sheath) and said bet it chops good to huh. I said yeah it does and see ya later and left.

Well I had to go back again today, and guess who was working the desk?

You guessed it, the Assistant Postmaster. He said "Got any more knives"? Well I said yeah, and he said well go get it.

I go back outside in the pouring rain and come back inside with my Big Country Kamper? The one with the sheepsfoot style blade, 8 inches long and convex edged.

And he starts waveing it around like He's fighting off a pack of rabid Zombies!! And I'm think, man, we need this guy on OUR side hehe. Anyway, he then commences to cut the hair off his arm and says boy it's sharp. Then he asks me if it chops ok and I say yeah, but not as good as the other one. Then I had fo go BACK out and get that one again so he could compare them! God I love rou post office! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> don't worry though, the ONE time I handed him my gun I unloaded it first! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Then he said he never really got into knives that much, but he DOES like guns. At this point some other folks came in, I collected my contraband and left.

Sure am glad he knows where I work.

Wow..sounds like a very cool P.O.

If I tried that where I live they would arrest me.
