he SKS did it before the AK. The only reason the AK is so numerous is because when the Soviet Union was an empire they were making them and giving them away for nothing. At one time in Africa you could buy an AK on the street for a couple packs of smokes and a few beers.

oh yeah, NJ doens't like bayonets either. i think i'm allowed one as long as i don't have more than two other 'assault weapon features' like a pistol grip, flash hider, over 15 round mag, folding stock...stuff like that.

This is at the Cowboy Hall of Fame too. It was snowing pretty good that day. I think we got about 6" that day and that is a lot--well until you compare it to what we got last week.

You are fine with the SKS then because it has a fixed mag, no hider, no folding stock. The Saiga has a detachable mag, but they are 10 rds.--same capacity as a SKS.
