I really hate passing on a BM from the store. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />

A year from now I will be kicking myself and I know it.

I have caught a little about the give away from here but I decided that I should avoid the free pull at the slot machine because I have a pocket full of quarters and a itchy debit card finger.

I know what you mean. I was torn but I love my CGFBM and after talking to a buddy of mine that got the BM and had a CGFBM he basically echoed my sentiments for our area. The BM is nice all around but the CGFBM is a better chopper. Since my CGFBM has a Culty and Hack piggy backed I see no reason to change. Basically with those three blades together there is no reason for any others except I love my SY because they are a true value.

I took care of that today with picking up a Marlin 1895 SBL guide gun. No money now. Sure hope Dan holds off a little longer for a new release. If not, will figure something out.

I have my M9LE and a DDF so I'm trying to be okay. The DDF may leave and im pretty sure I will feel like I do about the synth I just sold. Never really used it but I hate and mean hate letting it go. I know you know the feeling letting when all of those sweet pieces go.

Can't be mad for what you had...

Really the HID lights don't do much for me - I like stuff I can actually carry. Plus, you can get better lumens and longer out of a $30 hardware store suitcase handled HID than many high end shower head style HIDs. I just don't see the appeal like I do with LED lights that are at least reasonable to carry.

I hear you, but I'm not being practical here.

I have looked everywhere for something in the 3500 lumen area, and came up blank. Any real way to compare candle power to lumens?

All those "power-on-board" hardware store guys go by CP, not lumens. I would be more than happy with one of those!!!

Then I can buy more LED stuff!! I just want something absurdly bright for around the yard.
I got a 10,000,000 candle power light for Christmas.
I've seen larger

I was askin my dealer today about a marlin lever in .357. Since I read that post about a rifle in a pistol round I have looked at everything I could find. He suggested a Puma. Good thing he sold the Marlin he had in the store. I forgot to ask him about it because I was talking about the M1A.

The DF is what got me to the Yard, and I was able to get A DDF. My first knife purchased from the Yard was a tan SOD so I kinda have a hard time letting either go--but neither have been used. Now my SODLE, been used and I love it, and would love to find a DFLE. But alas, like you say.........know the feeling.

Whats up Yote. I got that SBL today. I am really liking it so far. The guy threw in two boxes of the Hornady Leverevelution ammo in too!

If you go with a Puma or any of the Winchester 92 actions there is a guy that has a dvd on how to slick them up. Basically he is a cowboy action smith that hasfigured the quircks out and makes a nice rifle. Me, I like the Marlin because it offers the ability to go with a scout scope. The scout scope or Aimpoint makes the lever gun a serious viable weapon.
