I cold-blued my old Camillus Kabar many years ago, it wasn't a great success... Hopefully chemistry has moved on! If I could remember who made my 'blue' I'd dis' them!

I too noticed some corrosion on my LE after useing it and forgeting to clean it.

At least the steel doesn't pit, just 'browns' a bit, -could be worse! My Tramontina Bolo seems to have a thin coat of varnish on it to protect the metal... So far that has worked pretty well!
