Rilfle purchase is on the back burner now. I have had to turn my attention and extra cash to other stuff. I may not have a job soon. Not really in bad way but it's not the best feeling right now.

Yeah, whenever I talk to folks I tell them "at least I'm workin" It may not be the best paying job in the world, but I AM working and it's a job I like. So I guess you could say I'm double blessed. I hope everything works out to the best for you lazi. I'll remember you in my prayers.

You know that reminds me, I went into a local gun and KNIFE store yesterday to buy a leather strop and they looked at me like I was crazy, I didn't care for their attitude either, I was planning on buying my first handgun there, but I think they lost the sale

Yeah there is this gun shop agout 30 miles away (closest one) that I used to really like. The folks were all friendly the atmosphere was relaxed. Now they all carry guns (not really a bad thing) but whole attitude of the store seems to have changed. My wife can't understand why I don't like it anymore and It's hard to explain.

Oh hey, I got a new toy in the mail late last week. But with taking care of my wife and the housework I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Got a CS Mag Kuk Machete. Dull as a turd but sharpened up reasonably well. Just put a toothy edge on it for now. Gonna see how it works on swamp grasses and stuff then maybe some wood when I get a chance.

I would rather not spend extra money for the same gun at bass pro, but if I'm gonna get good service and not feel uncomfortable, then its worth it

Thanks guys! I think things will be okay once I get my focus back.
But.... Somebody that is bad news for me has decided that it's worth it to come around. It is not and never had been. It's just bad for me regardless of how it's supposed to appear.
