i know, anything really would help though, we've been running donation bins and stuff at school. clothes, medical supplies, food, toys for the kids...so sad how many orphans were left in the wake of all this
Gonna be chaos trying to figure out who is an actual orphan and trying to reunite families.
Heard a live story of fights over supplies and a 6 year old who had some food/water stolen from her. Her crying was heart breaking..
Have a buddy in the marines who said he knew a unit that was sent to help and they were attacked by gangs over there...machetes and everything, really crazy.
they had to shoot at em ...for god sakes is this really the time for people to fight.
One thing i still cant wrap my head around is that Haiti DECLINED help from the dominican republic. apparently their relations arent on best terms...
how can a government do that its just so frustrating.
I feel very deeply for all the innocent, but thats about it. the leaders over there know nothing about running a country or helping its people. Haiti has been in desperate need for help for YEARS and it isnt until now that people are helping...im all wishy washy about whats going on now...
though i dont want that interpreted as me saying they dont deserve help...of course they do.
im all over the place with this but i hope you get more or less what it is im trying to say...probably not lol
