Yes, I love seeing your photos. You guys that can take pics make me envious of your skills. All I have is a point and shoot little camera without much to it. It does my level though. Thanks! I don't know anything about the seals. The bulls have the big growth on their snouts, is that a ramming mechanism? I can only imagine the sound of the seals. I bet Sturgis has nothing on them.

The D60 is still a great camera. It has a lovely way of rendering colors.

As for the D60...yeah it is still a great camera as long as I don't print any wall size pics with it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />. I've been waiting for a full frame DSLR for years now. If only they come down to around 1.5k then I'll bite the bullet and get one. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

The proboscis on an elephant seal is just a big, fatty, fleshy, floppy thing. They roar through their noses, to resonate their roars. They use them kind of like trumpets.

Yeah, they weigh 5,000 pounds. They could probably mess up a car pretty badly.
I was in a Saab 900 during a moose attack on the car, about 20 years ago. The moose was able to do real damage to the car, and they're not nearly as big as elephant seal bulls.

KK, I think we will be ok. I know that I will be spotty for the Yard for a couple weeks as I have the state wrestling tournament this weekend, and have to make a trip from OK to Chicago to get my brother.
