yea im getting ready for bed... got a long week apparently ahead of me ....
i hate going to the hardware store but i gotta soon ... so its going to nail me for a couple hundred bucks for sure

... dug my camp stove out.... its up tube is totaly rusted and the guts are questionable... grrrrr ... so the question ill have to address is before i go in the back country is a new jetboil or another one... was looking at the multiful optimus and a couple little bush cookers and kettles... still thinking about it...

I don't have any experience with the Jetboil. I do have experience with the Kelly Kettle. It's a fine piece of equipment.
I have a MSR multifuel stove. It's very good.
I also have a little home-made alcohol stove, made from pop cans, and a Vargo Triad alcohol stove. I use those most of the time, unless the conditions are very harsh.

yea that was my other idea... go back to my alcohol ones , and use the camp fire... would have to go pick up some supplys for it though.... it sure does take it a long time .... ill just have to look around.... build a new set up... not like i cant go pick up an optimus omni at some point...
i still got my giant old colman breif case for car camping...

That looks like a good pack, in that old-timey way, but I think I'd prefer a more modern pack.
