So, I was all stoked to use my hammock on an upcoming trip in the Uintas, but our guide told me last night there won't be trees big enough to hold a hammock. Now I have to get a tent! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

That stinks Joe - I hate, hate, hate sleeping on the ground. I'd rather haul along some climbing gear and hang my hammock from rocks, or find some logs and rig up a tripod to hang from.

I've been trying to figure out some alternatives, but the area is unfamiliar to me and I trust this guy who's taking us. I'm ok on the ground (the Synmat 7 Deluxe helps!) I just don't want to share. I need to find a solo that'll fit my huge mat.
