of course most of my friends were making 2-400 a night top end being a waiter 3 days a week...

on the bottom end and horrible waiter at a local dive was making 20-30 a night 6 days a week... same with my gf ... she went from 10 buck nights to 70 after i taught her....

Yup. AGAIN, I don't think that they (the employers) should be able to get around the minimum wage requirement because "they" get tips, but in many places they do. Also in some places, the tips are all divided evenly amoung the workers. That SEEMS more fair, but then when you add in the ones that will slack off and still get their tips, it makes it not so fair seeming.

yea... and as a customer ... as annoying as it can be... i just go some place else... i also dont recommend it around ... its how its been and as a consumer its kinda what i need to do ...

i guess i could see doing the minimum wage ... but the trick is that the only taxes you pay as a waiter are on credit cards and your real pay check .... all cash is normaly fairly tax free and the reporting is lax...

so if you do that im sure they will force a change in tax money collection...

I have heard though that they have came down on some folks for not reporting tips like they should. HIGHLY under reporting the amount of tips they got, and someone else ratted them out. I have also heard some states don't tax tips and others do. Don't know if it's true or not though.

I know one time the wife and I went to a semi-local place and this one waitress was SO nice and VERY attentive. Our bill was oh I think 18 dollars. Well we felt that we got such good service we left her a 10 dollar tip!

yea each states differnt about tipping...

its impossible to prove honestly so the few cases of it out there are pretty much revenge or a reason to take some one down...

meh ... honestly theres is a lot of really important other news ... but thats what we get hooked on around here....
