That would do well, I'm sure.

Oh and I got a couple MRE's I plan on including. Not much, but for Me and Patty it should work. We don't really get far off the beaten path. About the farthest we have ever gone from the Jeep is 2 miles. She has Cronic blood clots in one leg, 3 veins completely closed off with one blockage about 18 inches long and another 8. Oh and she has heel spurs. But she's a trooper though. She will try and walk as far as she can before we gotta turn back. I don't mind, just being out with her is my enjoyment.

Are her leg veins treatable?

MY primary concern is a Quake. I know that I am ill prepared for one but I am slowly getting things together. You see, We Sit right on top of the New Madrid fault line. Worse quake this country has ever had. We've got canned goods out the wazoo, not what we MIGHT want to eat every day, but it would keep us alive. Now water, that is what I need to get my butt in gear and get taken care of.

You're on the right track, thinking about this stuff and taking care of it.

NO. They will ALWAYS be that way. That is why we are cautious about things. If part of a clot breaks off it could go to/through her heart and lungs (HAS happened to her twice and suspected a third time) she's lucky to be alive. She had a car wreck back in 1993 (before we got together) and broke her pelvis. THAT is what has caused all the other stuff. She takes, basically rat poison (warfaran) every day to help cut down the risk of ANY MORE clots forming. And you would not believe the problems that stuff can cause, what with drug interactions and just generally problems from the medicine.

I would believe it.
I have some experience with similar kinds of problems.

NO. They will ALWAYS be that way. Don't give up hope on medical advances. In fact, just a few minutes ago, I read about a medical advance which will likely made a big difference for me.

We just thank God every day for My military (tricare) insurance. Plus she is considered disabled after working for about 25 years. The specialists told her, that she MUST get completely off the leg for at least 20 minutes every 2 hours. They ment, Prone as in setting or laying with her leg stuck out on the couch or recliner. Well of course she couldn't do that and work. They then bluntly told her it was either do that or loose your leg. Since she has quit/been on disability she has only been in the hospital once for blood clots. Before that, it was a week every 6 months, almost could set your watch by it. It bothers her to be on a disability because she does not look sick and she is afraid folks will think she is just faking it, that she's just a bum. Well she's not and worries about that all the time.

I hope that things will work out for you. Yes we have read up on certain procedures, but so far her doctors don't think it would be all the benefical to her considering what she would have to go through.
