I have a 2001 PRS Custom 22, a Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe, RG421 with a SD SH-5, Dean Hardtail, Dean CFH, and a Dean Exotica, Art & Lutherie Cherrywood, Washburn Rover, and a couple junk acoustics. Some may consider the previous acoustics junk, though.

For amps, the Vai Legacy, H&K Tube 20, Vox AD 100, AD 50, Peavey Special 212, and Roland Micro Cube. I think that about covers it.

wow! that is some really nice and serious gear!

i got a tobaco sunburst american made fender telecaster with a seymore duncan hotrail. for an amp i have a mesa boogie dual rectifier and a peavy 5150 cab.

i also got a breeden acoustic, i need to put some new string on it though.

How does one know if they want a guitar on Ebay, without feeling it, trying it, and hearing it?

Knowing the make and model and what they tend to sound like. Kind of like knowing how a car is supposed to run. In your case, what a certain brand and model of camera and lens is supposed to be capable of.

excellent question. it's typically a huge risk.

in this case, i know what it will feel like as i've played many SG's. i'm relying on the fact that this is built in the Gibson Custom shop, not the regular production line, to make this an awesome piece. their top luthiers hand pick the most resonant wood and i believe only one man builds the entire guitar, start to finish. could be wrong about that, though.

still, it's a pretty safe bet that this guitar will sing.

sometimes it can be hard. for me if i like the sound of a certain musician or band ill research what kind of gear they use.
