I got me a few folders in on a trade yesterday. A CR large Sebenza 21, an Emerson CQC-7 wave, a Benchmade Hybrid used and a little cash. I am happy with the Sebenza, the Emerson is ok, and the Hybrid is different with that kind of handle. The Sebenza feels so right in my hand.

I have had ostrich. I liked it pretty well. I love ostrich boots--full quill btw!

I have tried bear, moose, elk, deer, and a lot of other stuff. The bear was not to my liking, and moose was ok. Might be different if it was prepped by someone that had done it before too.

Not sure what happened on P's BMW deal.

I havent tried any of those but I always say that I will eat anything that wasn't cooked in a prison toilet boil. Not really but I'll try stuff once. I would like to try moose and elk. Bear if it comes up but I would go looking for a bear menu. If it supposed to be under humans under on the food chain then what do you do? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

154 CM is one of my all time favorite for smaller blades and folders. I love the Yard knives in 154 CM and the HCLE that I have.

I ordered a Regulator and sheath for my brother. He is like me, we like bowies. To top it off since he just moved back from Chicago, and home for a while he needs a good fixed blade. I figured the Regulator is his first Yard blade and it is in SR101. He is on his own from here on out though---------I just introduced him to it!

Oh yeah, he will get a smile when we do some chopping next week!!!!

So far there are some things I won't try. But, if I was hungry enough I would do a Bear Grills/Les Stroud meal. Until then I will stay away from the rat stew.

I know we have had some members leave lately. I know that MM was out and it looks like SB is out too. I do miss those guys. I notice that a lot of other people posting less--and that is due to the time of the year, spring, kids sports opening up, etc. but I still miss their activity here.

Lots of new guys are posting and some of those old guys just need to find their way back. I just want more picture threads!

Hey Sumo, how do you feel about 16" barrels on a .308? FNH announced the FNAR with a 16" barrel.

To me a 16" brl on a .308 is a little under used. a 18" brl is more optimum. The 16" gives up some in the long range but adds easier mobility. FN, that is a nice rifle.

BTW, I was looking at a FN 9mm today. I must admit that I was really liking how it fit in hand. What does a mag run for one--avg?

Yes- I was hoping MM and SB would come back- but it is up to them. Some of the guys that used to post are now out of work and i think it might bother them that things are tight. maybe they will come back and at least talk knives. I truly think the economy has a bunch of folks hanging their head.
