To me a 16" brl on a .308 is a little under used. a 18" brl is more optimum. The 16" gives up some in the long range but adds easier mobility. FN, that is a nice rifle.
BTW, I was looking at a FN 9mm today. I must admit that I was really liking how it fit in hand.
