Most folks, me included, at times, do not realize how dangerous it CAN be. Just getting into a good spot can oft times be dangerous, let along the subject you are photographing!

Nature photography often involves some level of danger, though I try to keep it within what I can comfortably handle, most of the time.

Yup. That log that you thought was safe, breaks away underneath your weight. The only thing that "saves" you is the fall is only into 6 inches of muddy swamp water.
