IF you gotta travel, take off at the first hint of a problem. If you are stuck there until the animals come out, It MIGHT be a consideration to travel at night when it will be harder to be seen and be sure to use cover and concealment.

Yeah, I've been thinking the same, probally be 2 or 3 hour walk there, if things got socially bad, I could walk 5 minutes into the everglades and travel to his place that way, might be a little tougher walk, but I could bypass almost all people

And in case you don't know, concealment is nothing more that something that will hide you or break up the human outline into something that can't be identified. Cover is something that will stop a bullet.

You would have to weigh the glades thing. It WOULD keep a lot of the scumbags off your back, but then you would have to contend with snakes and gators and snapping turtles and ....
