I don't know if I can post this,but here goes.What is everyones favorite firearms?;pistols and rifles. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

I like single & double action revolvers, semi-auto pistols, cap&ball revolvers, rifles, muzzle loading rifles, over&under shotguns, side by sides, single shot shotguns and rifles, cap guns....pretty much anything that goes bang.

My most recent favorite is the 500 S&W, accurate and less punishment than my 454.

Dan

Dan,
Did you look into the S&W 460. It takes nor only the 460 but the 454 and 45 long colt too. I will be getting one in there survival kit soon.

I love my country but fear my government.

THe BEST guns hands down for battle is as follows:
Pistol: Glock 21 in 45acp
Shotgun: Remington 870 from Wilson Combat/Scattergun Tech

240B would sure be nice!! I'd go for that new M249 that they're chambering in 7.62 - that'd be a nice little package! A little easier on the back too when you're lugging it around!

Ohhhh I didn't even hear about that one! The 7.62 is my personal favorite.....after seeing tooo many "insurgents" get up and continue to fight after taking multiple rounds of 5.56 I lost faith in it. Sorry, but not every shot can be a head shot.

In around 1978 we upgraded our coaxs in our M60A1 tanks with M240s. I forget what the old one was, but it wasn't very reliable. The 240s were outstanding. Those early models had three rates of fire that were adjusted by a gas aperture. When we first got them, we set them on high rate. Engaging popup silhouettes, we could barely traverse fast enough to keep from running out of ammo! We sliced those targets in half like a light saber. Good MG. Glad our boys in the infantry are getting them. It is based on the old BAR design. John Browning's legacy lives on.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Who said more pics?

Best all around do it all imo is the AK-47. Fun and cheap, and works great. I had a Bulgie SLR-95 (utterly fantastic) and a Norinco Mak90 (also very nice).. unfortunately i had to sell them rather than reg them.

I have a few AR's but really dont love the platform (sold off an AR10 rather than register as well, dang CA laws).

Heavy MBR are pretty cool, like my Socom16 in Sage EBR stock, with scout scope setup... but the weight is really restrictive for me... i prefer light and fast platforms

Light and fast like the KelTec SU16's. The platform is well designed and works great, but is not really proven over time... either way, here is my B 'entry' and my CA 'bench'

Following light and fast, for long and medium range, its hard to beat the Steyr Scout. A favorite of mine since she came out... like butter and always hits the mark, easy to hump and fast to deploy.

For closer stuff, around the house and in the truck, Shotguns are my favorite. My vintage police 870 is my favorite, kept plane-jane with wilson ext.

but a bunch of other 870's have found their way to me, and are outfitted in various fashion, such as VangComp and knoxx... but not too silly

I would take my 870's any day over any semi.

As for pistols, glock is all i would pay for. Have had pretty much 'everything' from every maker you name it, but once i went glock, that was pretty much it for me.
