I am another outside the US contributor so it's at least 3 of us. Best 6$ I have ever spent. In a society that is so obsessed with themselves and their instant gratification the fact that people are still willing to serve is something I find really impressive. I have been thinking about that NFL star who gave up a multi million dollar contract to be a Ranger and was then killed by friendly fire. He would have made a terrific Spartan and I am sure he is in Valhala.
One of you computer gurus should photoshop Gravellface's avatatar so Leonidias is holding a DF.

Unsub, thank you. I tell you again, this board really is as close to being back in the Army as far as the strong ties displayed. This is really a great community. Pat Tillman was the true hero...like you said giving up millions to serve his counrty.....he is an example of true Patriotism.

It feels like a real community.e are at war here in canada as well but there seems to be a lot more support for war in afganistan than there is in the US for the war in Iraq. Personally I think supporting our soldiers has nothing to do with politics because it is not like you can say " I think this war is a bad idea I am not going" if you are in the military. There was a young canadian vet on a show called the hour last night and he had lost both his legs in a suicide car bomb attack. It made my mom cry but he made the point that he has no regrets. We are all really proud to know you gravelface and I would like to thank you personally.

I am very honored to have found this thread! All of you in this community are the best [censored] people!!!
I have not only enjoyed talking to all of you but have found it very therapeutic to the stress or work and life in general! Also, you fill a void that I to have. I have never been to war but have seen other horrors that are in the world such as the African countries that I have visited both with poverty, disease and death. When I was isolated for months I too grew a close brotherhood with my fellow expedition members which I miss very much. All of the mis-adventures we had been through, the malaria that we all had and even one of us with typhoid. We traveled through bandit ridden territory as well as poachers who would shoot us on sight. No one who never went through a life and death situation understands the depression that follows something like that when you have to come back to normal life.
I know this is nothing compared to what you have all faced in war but I understand that a connection has been made to those people!
You Gentlemen have found a great way to honor a warrior who served his country admirably and with something that will be treasured for the rest of his life!
YOU ALL deserve a round of applause!!!! THE DOGS RULE!!!

For no apparent reason gravelface is giving away a free piece of infi. he was also wounded in battle for the states and still carries shrapnel in his body. as if that's not enough, he's gettin stepped on by the country he served. how bout a little love for the guy? seein as he's so in love with the very inexpensive dumpster mutt, we could easily reward his selflessness by pooling for it. volunteers sign up here and when we see how many we've got, we'll see what the split is and pool the funds. i'll edit this first post with the number, we'll set a deadline for signup as the second notice from dan. that'll be the 24 hour mark. leatherface is donating a kydex sheath and dumpster dan's covering shipping!
here's one.
so far: 1. magnum22 2. diceman 3. kraz 4. coldone 5. tedwca 6. dmelone 7. leatherface 8. bld522 9. prince of peace 10. private klink 11. tony22r 12. bigocean 13. forrest 14. horn dog 15. bors 16. tigerdog 17. andy wayne 18. rvogster 19. ksjumpmd 20. messer454 21. greens 22. fore add me to the list.

last chance before we pool up, guys. no more after the 24 hour mark so if you want in, now's the time. it's already less than $3. that amount will only get smaller with more participants.
if you already asked to be on and don't see your name on the list call attention to my mistake so we can include you.
