That is a good deal. What caliber are you thinking? I might look into the .243 if other things don't pan out since I have over 400 rds of ammo and no gun to shoot them in.

Lazi, that is true. The 700 in 308 will be good hunting and plinking for fun. On top of that it is a 700 action and you can always have it rebrled later for a hb, different short action caliber, etc. The 700 is one of the most used rifles in budget custom builds. For the price you can't go wrong. For optics the new Redfield line looks promising, especially since it is backed and owned by Leupold.

Will be out for a while. I ended up plling the tan SOD I had listed at Andy's place. It isn't like I need to sell it and since people are wanting it for less than release price for a new blade I will hang on to it. I tried to join BF as a member but the payment option thing denied me a few times so I said screw it.
Maybe tonight I will get to chat with you guys a bit more!
