Good idea, Kraz. I got rid of my lanyards when one caused me to cut myself with a machete. Bad.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Gawd I hear about people losing their knives all the time, the way they blend in the ground and stuff, that's why I try and get brighter colors for scales and lanyards.

Vic, I like the style knives that company produces.....they just seem a bit thin, I was able to handle a few at Blade last year.
I found my Benchmade Nimvarious? IN the field at Ft. Hood......it had been on the ground for a LOOOONG time, grass was growing through the sheath and the handle was sun bleached on 1 side.....2 days soaking in CLP and it was back to new!
EMail if you have a spare 460!!!!

Some poor guy on Ont/RAT forums lost his new RAT-5. He said it blended in. Gawd I hear about people losing their knives all the time, the way they blend in the ground and stuff, that's why I try and get brighter colors for scales and lanyards. Yeah, that happened to me the 1st day I got my M6. Luckily we were able to find it with the aid of my metal detector and 150 lb pull magnet on a rope. You can see the pics and story here: I LOST MY M6!!!

Great story Andy, glad it had a happy ending! I have a metal detector, if I lost a blade, I'd get another blade(as similar as possible to the one I lost) and set it to discriminate to the same type of metal and that might make it easier, I don't know I've never tried it, but having that magnet sure did help too!

I have some old WWII short machetes by Collins and True Temper, and they are even thinner. These light fast blades are great in the jungle or Altamaha. And they will chop reasonably well, too. Even the much collected Collins #18 Bowie/machete is only 1/8" thick. Now, I would not use one like Diceman used his DF, on big logs! People that actually live and work in the jungles know what works. I like the Condors for what they are, jungle knives.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Yeah, whenever I got a signal, I’d drag the magnet over the spot. Eventually… *CLANG* and there it was. I have a couple Bounty Hunter detectors, my Dad has a Whites. I’ve been detecting since I was like 8 or so.

Whites are the best, I have a Garret, I was talked into getting it from a white owner because it had all the new digital bells and whistles at the time (big mistake). It has never worked right and always gives me false signals, the holes I've dug for junk...

Wow Andy! that's one helluva story with your lost Mischief6! I'm glad u found it! I remember the "dreaded ricochet" that happened to me at the age of 15?....I was playin' in the backyard of my grandparents house out in Miami FL and I set up a plywood board (i leaned it on a clothes line) so i could practice throwing knives at it....I bought this cheap POS knife called a "Super thrower" from some mall ninja place advertised inside some Black Belt magazine... I threw it from 10-12 feet away at this board....and it landed 1 foot short of the mark....it hit a rock in the grass...and bounced some 20 some feet in the air (to the left of the board) into the neighbors yard......barely missing a screened in swimming pool and their dog.....boy was that embarrasing....had to go their with my dad and ask permission to search their backyard for my knife... Here's my Mishchief 6 with a not so bright lanyard... ![[Linked Image from img490.imageshack.us]](http://img490.imageshack.us/img490/5338/mischief6015vm2.jpg)
