Good stuff. Rapelling is one of my favorite outdoor activities. What did you tie off on? We have to use our Jeeps on occasion because we usually find a great rapelling stop but no good anchor or vice versa.

Very nice- we are looking at spending a month in Moab this next spring. You know anything about that area ? How about you MC- are you wired into that area ? Looks like I can rent a really nice place for about 3 K for the whole month which is pretty cheap considering . Any input folks ? Thanks

We use trees, chokestones, bushes, logs, people, balards, deadman....

Everyone knows that climbing is a necessary evil to create more rappelling opportunities! lol

Air Assault 1985-1987, and miss it.
I've thought about taking it up again as a sport, but (don't laugh)the equipment has changed so much since I was last proficient at it.

Great pics - I love Zion, and Utah's redrock country in general.
FYI - I'm sure you know that Arches National Park has more natural bridges, arches, recess caves, etc, than any place in the U.S. Well, the #2 spot on the list is Red River Gorge, in the Daniel Boone National Forest, about a half-hour from where I live here in central KY. For the longest time it was the best-kept secret amongst rockclimbers and rappellers here in the east, but about 10 years ago it hit the maps and the secret was out.
Think Arches, but with water, forests and greenery instead of desert.
