same here, as much as it hurts paying 400.00 for a piece of steel I still consider this a bargain. I have wanted an AK forever and can no way justify the cost of those. This is going to be fun as hell to take camping. I am going to pass on the Tank Buster since I have 2 Sarsquatches and 2 ASH-1s. But the Waki is special. Eric just confirmed the colors with me from my Blade pre-order, Tanker Gray with Black Canvas micarta.

That tanker looks sweet on the waki. I've got a muddy/black canvas, and black/black&orange g10 coming. I have a feeling I'll end up keeping the canvas, as I like the feel better, but I do love me some orange g10.

I am a big fan of Orange G10 as well, surprisingly though I do not have one single Busse in it. It looks sweet, and yes Vick, the Waki is going to be one of those special blades, wish I could have gotten 2

I just found out that it was only my orange g10/black waki that shipped, and the black canvas/muddy is on backorder and won't ship for another week or so.

That makes me sad - I was hoping to compare the two handle materials one more time before I decided which to make a user and which to keep nice. Now I either decide to just use the more expensive g10, or I have a waki sitting on my desk for a week, staring at me, taunting me, begging me to use it.

An update - Eric offered me a pretty cool option that will allow me to use my g10 waki when it gets here and not worry about the whole situation. I don't want to get into details, but I'm very happy with his offer.

I met with Eric last night and picked mine up!!! All I can say so HOLLY S%#$%!!!! These are by far the most exciting knife I have received from Swamp Rat to date! Eric is the man. He offered to meet me in Louisville to hand deliver my Waki. Let me tell you that the Waki is well balanced, sharp as hell and all around a fine addition to any collection out there. I got the tan and muddy and after seeing and holding it I might have to break down and get another few!!!

I'm in the same boat (nearly) as Mustard Man.
I expect one of my wakis to arrive before the other, and I'm not sure which I want to be my user and which to be my keeper. In my case though it was my own fault - I couldn't quite make up my mind as to what colour to go with.

Still I'll be happy just fondling the first one that turns up.

All I need now is the beautiful thang to turn up.

That's ok the Waki can come any day but the 24th and someone will be here to recieve it. I think the backorder might have actually been the blade color, not the handle color - like they didn't make enough blades with muddy coatings or something. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
