Thanks for the welcome, Andy & Sig, I don't have any of the Rats, Hogs, Dogs yet<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" /> but am looking to get the Chopweiler soon. I've been saving all my pennies and am in the market. I am amazed at the quality and toughness of all the blades. Anyways....stay safe and informed.

Welcome to the Yard!

I would still recommend a Ruger 10/22 over the M6 or AR-7, because it is a much better rifle. Part of being a great survival rifle is being reliable, accurate and easy to use. I can't say that about either the M6 or AR-7. They are both kind of gimmicks, if you ask me. The Marlin Papoose would serve as a better survival rifle.

The Savages are definitely much nicer guns.

I'd go 22 and 308, 308 and 12, or 22 and 308.
