When my wife sees it it may be used in self defence. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

You and I both Brother! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> In fact, my wife asked if I would sacrifice two of those "swimming noodles" so that we could insert dowel rods through them and then use them for sword practice! Ordinarily I would be quite happy about this, but she doesn't know that I have a Waki coming! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Tell her you're just obeying Jesus... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. (Jesus)
Luke 22:36 NIV

A cloak is a coat, so in other words he's saying it's better to be armed & cold, then content & helpless.

The disciples said, "See, Lord, here are two swords." "That is enough," he replied. Luke 22:38 NIV

"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword." (Jesus) Matthew 10:34 NIV

O sword, slash to the right,
then to the left,
wherever your blade is turned.
Ezekiel 21:16 NIV

May the praise of God be in their mouths
and a double-edged sword in their hands.
Psalm 149:6 NIV

I'll use in the backyard for sure. I've never had a sword like this, so depending on how useful I find it I might consider strapping it to a pack.

I don' think I'd ever use it for self defense. I can't think of any time that I'd have my Waki on me, but not one of my guns.

All I know is that I have this overwhelming urge to chop a watermelon in half.

you can call me digs

We're going to have to change your Yard name from Lazi to Highlander.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
My first Scrap Yard showed up not too long ago - a Tanker Gray / Black Scrapper 5.
Which, by the way, qualified me to be on the Regulator Bowie test team... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Can't wait for those Wakis. Now, I just need to figure out the whole post pics on the internet thing... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
