Sorry for the poor quality - I set this up and snapped the pictures quickly, as I'm leaving to head out for dinner in a few minutes. The lighting and exposure are way off.

Thanks, alaus, for the weight. I can feel the extra weight of the Sod when I handle the two.

Welcome to the Yard!

That is actually one of my tests for the Reg.

I'll tell you how it went in 6 months. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

So Joe, you're going to kill a "bar" with a Regulator? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> Just don't get the stuffing all over! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

And this guy killed a bear with a 3.5" blade knife!!!

If they could do that, I think the regulator could handle it... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Nice pics. I thought, though, that we're not supposed to post any pictures of the Regulator for six months. Well, I guess we'll know if that's the case. I'd just hate for anyone to get "scolded" on the forums <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I started this thread, and I in no way want anyone to get in trouble over side by side photo's of these two knives. If there is any form of punishment because of this, please send it my way. I made an observation a while back, and noticed that the Regulator blade was smaller than the SOD blade. I just wanted to get a better idea of what the Regulator was all about. I now have what I was looking for. I would never put my fellow Dog's at risk of getting burned for something like a couple photo's. I'm really interested in the Regulator, and when they are released to all of the Yard I will definately be getting one. Thanks again....Scott.

Dan has specifically stated in these forums that pictures of the regulator un-used are fine. The pictures he doesn't want posted are review-type pictures. That means any shots of the regulator in action, or any shots of the knife after being used, aren't allowed.

Amy-O has said the same thing about the killa zilla in the Busse board on BF.

I've posted several pictures of both the killa zilla and the regulator, but all were BEFORE I used them, and moderators have even posted in the threads containing those pictures, without doing any "scolding". It just so happens that I kept one of my regulators pristine, which is why I was able to take a picture of it next to the sod.
