I am just not a fan a huge knives. 7 1/2 inches is about as big as I would want in a knife. Any bigger than that and Ill just go with a machete or axe. Or an all out sword. Thats the only thing that I dont like about Busse-kin, they make too many big choppers.

Grail Knife: Busse SFNO or a scrap yard sword. Hint hint Big Dawg.....

I'll take a 10 inch or even bigger Reg. Would be on hell of a fighter for sure

At the thickness it is, 10 inches would be too heavy, not to mention too long to be useful.
I think there should be a "no blade zone" in between the 7.5" & 17.5" where knives are just novelties. IMO once you go past the user bowie size it should just jump up to the machete / sword lengths. I just can't figure a real use for a 10 inch blade. No offense to the DF or anyone who loves their choppers.

The large clip makes a huge difference. The Regulator weighs less and feels even lighter in the hand than the physically smaller Yard Guard.

There are plenty of practical applications for the regulator... trust me

And I don't stab many people. Anymore.

Not quite sure what you mean by compact - the regulator is similar in both blade length and overall weight to the son of dogfather, and I would expect to use them for similar jobs. So the question is - which one performs better at which tasks?
