I agree people who haven't used or even held a Regulator would be suprised. I know the reaction people have when they first hold this knife, and I think there may be a few converts who have seen the Regulator in person. Needing a blade, buying extras to keep in different places and buying them for their coolness value are all valid reasons for purchasing them to be sure. My point was that my smaller choppers never see the action that my 18"+ blades do.
The Regulator is a good length to take over the duties of any other battle ready field / fighting knife out there without making it with a 10" blade. I just think at that point the Dog Father would be the ticket.
