New to the family. I was excited to see this by accident. I had been looking for an ss5 for awhile. Glad it will be INFI. I have a WAKI on order as well.

So since I am new I have a few questions. Are the knives only built
and produced after the preorder? What kind of a time frame are we looking
at for shipment? Is this how all the knives of this family are released?
I am also a big fan of convex blades I know that they are not all convex from busse and
swamp rat but will this one be?

Hi Tundratrader, welcome to the yard, you'll love your stay though your wallet will disagree.
Knives are indeed produced after preorders have been taken,for the S5LE were looking at an october delivery date, or so ive read (4-6 weeks after the knife is released i think. All Bussekin knives are sold in this manner, and as far as i know, this blade in particular will be the same as the combat grade, difference being the material (INFI) so no i dont believe that this one will have a convex edge (99% positive).

My first post after ordering my first Scrap Yard knife. Hopefully, whatever the edge is, it will come sharp. Too bad it won't get here until the Fall but I have other knives to keep me warm until then.

I'm also a newbie here. Just ordered my first two scrapyard knives (both S5LE's). I keep checking every day, hoping they're done taking orders, but nope. This waiting thing is a PITA.
