Maybe all us dawgs need to order 1 more than we really want so we can take care of the dawgs that don't get in on it...? You know, buy however many you want plus one that you would/could sell to a fellow dawg that misses out, for the original price plus shipping. I'd do it. Thoughts?

Of course, money is a factor here...Maybe Jim can just buy 16 and sell them to the Dawgs that miss out. j/k

It would be really cool if Dan would take pre-orders for JYD numbered knives ahead of time. That would guarantee that JYD's got their numbers (and would let Dan know how many JYD's are planning to order and get their numbers) but I realize this probably won't happen and may not be possible or even fair...?

I just think it'll suck if some JYD's that want this knife, miss out on it. Hopefully, they won't.

If I do manage to land one of these beauties I'll be sure to post the serial number so that I can work out a trade with the respective JYD. It makes no difference to me what number I end up with.

Funds are VERY low. I am heavily tapped recently from 2 @ Waki's, 2 @ M9LE's, 2 @ S5CG's, Vex, Regulator, and quite a few higher dollar Busse's from earlier this year, etc. And considering I have already mostly satin finished my S5CG and have a pretty good selection of Busse and kin to choose from, PRICE/Value will be a HUGE factor for me!

I am VERY glad to see the S5LE in "SATIN" INFI! That is WAY cool!
But, I am concerned about what the price will be.

I am the same. I don't really care about the number. I would personally be happy to save a few bucks to NOT have a number if it would save me some money.

On the other hand, it appears having ones JYD # means a lot to many people. I would be happy to swap with a fellow dog to provide a JYD number to somebody who might want it.....

........ If I am able to get one.

Getting my JYD meant a lot to me when I had #60 on the first two numbered Scrap Yard LE releases (the MP and BD -- I received them before I reached JYD, so "targeted" my posts to become JYD #60). Then I missed on the SoD LE, after which I was unhappy for several days. As a matter of fact, if I hadn't thought it would've caused problems with the remainder of my order, I'd have dropped the LE once I received notification that I couldn't get #60. However, by the time I missed on Muk #60, it meant much less to me. Assuming that I place an S5 LE order (I already have a lot of CGs), I'll still request #60, but I don't expect to get it, and at this point, I probably wouldn't even spend the extra money for someone to ship me their #60 and to send them a replacement, which is an indication of how little I care anymore.

Looking back, its strange how much it meant to me on that SoD order. However, once the chain of getting my JYD# was broken, it really stopped mattering.

I'm the odd man out here but INFI never really appealed to me, or rather maybe, I'm more into the design of the knife than the designer steel it contains. I'm super happy with my S5 as is. Having it in another steel would not make me like it anymore than what I have. I'll be waiting for the next great design coming from scrapyard

Depending on price I would like 3-5 of these, got some friends who deserve good gifts. This is a great knife already, but INFI makes it that much better.
