I understood it as they were being released at that time- and they were most likely EXPECTING a sell out. It APPEARS like that didn't happen- but we got one hell of a great deal on a VERY NICE knife .I don't buy with intention of selling- I use - give as gifts and " yes" - once in a while I might trade . During the GANZA the low cost stuff like the DDF & Vex sold out- but they were already built and very low inventory. Just my thoughts-Thanks

I don't buy with the intention of selling, but I do buy with the thought in the back of my mind that I can probably get rid of a knife later, and maybe make a couple bucks, if I decide it's not for me.

If the value drops, though, I have no problem hanging onto a couple of extra pieces of steel. Any excuse to hoard some more is good enough for me

He must have done some heavy drinking with Jerry to get this much Infi I think the amount of Infi may be proportional to the amount of bourbon he shared. I wouldn't expect a warning before they go down though...Buy now or be sorry later. Good luck!

I know it's been said that SYKCO dosen't release information about production numbers and as long as I get one it dosen't really matter to me.

I didn't think these would make it past a day, so I guess that means Jerry is missing more INFI then first reported.

[censored] the torpedoes. I couldn't hold out any longer and ordered two with the money I set aside for the Tank Buster. I'm starting to get an SY "collection" with a couple S5s, S6, YH and some S5LEs and DDFs coming.

I can stop at any time <looks into 12-step program>

I took it as the release between 930 and 10 30 especially when Dan says maybe not all of you will get one, as did a lot of other members from BF BC room that came quick, I'm just saying selling the idea of a limited edition is one thing, it being not so limited is another, me and my friend took up a quarter of the first hundred number, or hope so, it was within seconds of the release, but i guess limited could really be whenever that supply stops when ya think about it.

Wow, looks like fe wof the JYD's will get their number.

I am with Bruce here - I interpreted the "between 9:30 and 10:30 to be the time they would be listed in the store, not the time period they would be available for sale. It didn't seem very confusing to me, but I guess it threw off a couple of the Hogs.

Limited edition simply means there's a limited number of them - that number could be 300 or 500 or 1000, but the point is, once they are gone, that's it, and they won't be made again.

With the hints Dan was dropping, I was fully expecting the S5LE to sell out last night, but then again, there have been other SY LE releases that didn't sell out fast - although those weren't made from INFI.

It doesn't really bother me - I'd rather get more of these in folks' hands, and destroy the second-hand value. I'm not a speculator looking to make a profit, and I'm quite happy to let as many Dogs as possible get a chance at these.

Remember, Scrap Yard isn't aimed at collectors, with prototypes and one-offs and fancy handles - these knives are geared for maximum price to performance ratio. I'm a huge fan of getting them out there to be used, not locked up in safes waiting for the value to go up. No offense, Bruce

Might be a while before the S5LE sees much of a increase on the secondary market. I think that knives are tools to be used. In 75 years I don't care what the blade will bring because I won't be here to realize it.
