Here's a DF story. I recently sold my full convexed FFBM on the Busse exchange. The buyer complained that the handle hurt his hand while chopping. I told him that the handle was standard, and that I only modified the blade. I advised him to resell it for a profit (he only paid $475 for it) and buy two Dog Fathers. It's hard to beat Res C for chopping comfort.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I tempered my response when he emailed me about it yesterday, but I was yelling at my screen, "What wuss buys a fat FBM with a full convex edge and then complains that the handle hurt his little hand while chopping!" I have chopped with it for two years. It is not nearly as painful as a Martindale Golok is to chop wood with.

HAH!

i think it was just buyer's remorse and he needed an excuse to send it back.

I think you may be right. Probably there is a wife involved somewhere. That knife is a chopping machine.

I thought all sales on the exchange were final ? If it were not in the condition described I maybe could understand- but I read your listings they were " spot on" . I would have told the boy to take a hike . He has issues that a knife maybe won't cure. Perhaps he need look at something else

Well he posted on feedback that the knife was as advertised, so he has honor. He now says that the knife is just too heavy for his intended use and he will sell it. Now that makes more sense to me. The FFBM is a very heavy knife. He did as I suggested and bought a Dog Father. Lighter, cheaper, more comfortable handle. I think he'll like the DF just fine.
