My Cabinetry teacher has told me stories of running seasoned mesquite through a power planer and getting sparks.

Thanks for the mini review. I am with IMJ, that is different Mesquite than I am used to seeing too. I know this about Mesquite, it can make some really beautiful grips and make a steak taste really good!

Nice post. Is your Savage a S.B.R. or does it have some sort of folding stock? Very cool either way but surprising for S. Cal.

For the Gerber, there is an angle between the edge and the rest of the head. It will be much more efficient if you file or grind it off.

Yeah, I need to re-profile the hatchet. I was actually planning on buying one of Brian A's. He does gorgeous work.

It is the LE 110fp(w/out muzzlebrake). 25-06, 24" bull barrel.
Standard stock. Great accuracy.

Ha ha! I just noticed why you said that!
The camo does a good job, the stock is tucked in under the flap.

Under the flap was my only other guess, I could not tell either way from the pics.

I really like the Rat-Clone.

Is the art work inside a plastic window or is it applied with some other method? Looks pretty awesome.

Thanks! Jeff tooled and hand painted the sheath. Looks and feels awesome. I truly see it as a work of art.

IMJ and Sumo, I think our mesquite is a little crazier cuz it has to endure 120f+ temps. Over 100f 6 months of the year and almost no rain. I honestly don't know how they survive. Maybe it doesn't help that I'm cutting them down...
