RN, I was originally going to go with muddy blade and black micarta but Eric posted he had some blades ready to ship but only in a few colors so I went black and tan. I love it, goes great with my black and tan Regulator.

If I were you I would email Eric about the layaway deal, it was what I was going to do as well but my impatience got the better of me.

Something else about the edge retention. I cleaned the blade yesterday and gave it a very quick touch up on the sharpening. I was still a bit doubtful about the no damage thing so I checked the blade again and got the slightest of cuts, not the ones that hurt but are just the outer layers of skin. It is razor sharp. Very impressed with this steel.

The waki is a very impressive blade and I did notice the vibrations when I went out and slapped a big dead pine tree. Found it's better to focus a little when you swing. I also managed to cut a nice little sliver of skin off my finger just from brushing against the edge. Swamp Rat did a great job on the Waki.

Thanks for the pics Art!

Sooner or later, one of them will bite you.
It's okay though. It never really feels like it's your knife until it tastes a bit of your blood. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
