Sooooo, what have folks been scoring and thinking of getting next?
Recent Buys:
S5- Yahoo!! Love it
Condor Combat Machete- Horn Dog gave it the nod and $40 bucks for a gladius toy?? Why not!? I'm surprised by it's heft and size- makes my Battle Rat seem small. Haven't used it but look forward to seeing how it cuts.
Bandicoot- Just score it on the 'bay for a song. Doubt I'll keep it...either flip it gift it or trade it for a Vex I figure...
Wanna Buy:
WAKI!!!!!- Heard nothing on the layaway plan for awhile...I'm starting to think it ain't gonna happen. And it sure ain't gonna happen for me w/out the plan!
Folder- The Sage 2 looks awesome! Or maybe a Mini Manix...hmmmm
Himalayan Import- something....not sure
Vex- you guys seem to be loving it!
Izula- Looks cool and they run a great company
Older Rat- Maybe a ratweiler or Dog Skinner...lower on the list...we'll see
So what are all up to and thinking????

I just got a sheath for my Reg.
The next thing I need to get is a warmer sleeping bag.
Not the coolest piece of kit to chat about or research, but that's where I am.

I need to buy some sheaths for some of my newer knives. Still don't know what kind I want to get but I have a few in mind.
I got the waki, regulator, S5 CG and have on order S5 LE. Don't have any idea on any new knives, just whatever comes out next. I really want that Busse Bushwacker if it ever does come out.
I recently got some new camping gear. I got a Cold Steel shovel with cover.
Some stuff from La Police gear like a back pack, 511 tactical pants.
Got some countycomm.com stuff, like peanut lighter, and that AAA flashlight.
I got some small LED lanterns from Target..River Rock brand...super bright lanterns.

Other than some sort of anorexic battle mistress, I've got pretty much every knife I really really want, and I'm not willing to pay second hand prices for a bm-e or zt bm, so the only stuff I'm likely to buy is some yet-unannounced busse family stuff that I don't know about yet
on the other hand, with fall approaching, there's some other gear I want - especially some better underquilts for my hammocks (jacks-r-better mt Washington 3 hybrid) and some new climbing shoes (5.10 Anasazi Velcro)

Well- lets see- I just got a Vex- DMCG original fatty- Desert Jack that I had been looking for and a fellow Dawg helped me on that one !! Thanks . Also- ordered a great cutsom forum knife from Justin ( Ranger) Will be buying a couple folders from Benchmade. As for outdoor stuff- I am pretty well stocked for my upcoming 27 day GC rafting trip ( leave labor day weekend) - so have wave lite- splash jackets etc- but sure the wife has more on order . Picked up some of the new Chaco ( Indo Grips) to replace my Diamond Stealths .Still looking for a Rat Hunter- Rat Daddy and Rat Mastiff but am sure will come up sooner or later . Thats about all my old fogged up mind can think of right now. Also- prepared my urban surviavl kit for the upcoming flu season as it looks to be a bad one . Thanks

I also have the Vex, Waki, and highly recommend. These along with some other VERY nice recent release have made the recent few months a BANNER few months for great Busse and kin releases.
And I also had help from a forum friend in scoring a Condor El Salvador machete - It is BY FAR, the nicest and highest quality machete I have come across. And only $50 with leather sheath!
I haven't had the opportunity to use the El Salvador yet. But, I am VERY confident it is a SERIOUS butt-kickin' chopper. Being a bit smaller than my Waki, I think the Waki is likely to have more power. But, the Condor El Salvador is thicker and heavier than my Tramontina and much nicer finished. I assume they are both sufficiently tough for machete's. The Tram is lighter and faster - so more suited for lighter limbs, brush, etc. But, the El Salvador is pretty stout for a machete and should chop thicker limbs quite well.
I assume the Waki will hold an edge better - once I get a nice convex edge on it. But, in all honesty, as much as the Waki came with a pretty decent edge for not being convex, the El Salvador came with a nicer wicked convexed edge. (* The Northwind's edge is still better though. ) Still, for a $50 machete with leather sheath... with THAT nice an edge - WOW!
I have a VERY long wish list.... too long to even look at right now. But, where I am right now - is needing money for bills.
And in spite of how long my "Wish" list is, the reality is that my knife collection is larger than justified considering I need money.
So, unfortunately, I am looking at having to sell knives .... today.
Buying knives and my wish list will have to wait.
I had to pass on the S5LE - I am just broke and it is actually just a bit higher priced than I had hoped for.
Sadly, I hope Jerry and Dan don't release anything nice for a while.

Recent: Two combat grade Scrapper 5s, one for me one for me boy, what a great knife. Waki, purely for me but likely to become an heirloom. Cold Steel, Double Agent I, for woodworking. Ontario, SP43, as an inexpensive alternative to paying scalpers prices on a secondary market Dog Father, Battle Rat, or Dog Father LE (I would love one of these) and to stave off the day I make my NMSFNO a used knife. Wenger, Day Hiker, purely for nostalgia as it was the first knife I ever owned. I lost it after two days during my first year at boy scout summer camp.
Soon: SOG S62 Powerlock with V-cutter. Ontario, Black Winds Katana, bid on so will have to see how it goes. Not sure if I want to win or not, its a nice item but money is tight.
Other Future Possibilities: 888 Professionals Cop Tool. Spyderco D'Allara Rescue Leatherman Crunch and/or Juice S2, may not happen with the SOG coming. Some non-cardboard, packing tape, and electrical tape sheaths for my few nicer knives.

Got the S5LE on order, a fellow member sent me a DDF, and another member is holding a piece of Busse infi for me. Now, I just got to figure out what to trade/sell for the DDF and SAR5. Times are good and bad LOL.
As far as anything else, that is all I have in the works since I got the Regulator, S5 and Waki not too far back.
I don't even want to think about the other blades that I could have on my want list--too many.
Men you can't trust, women you can't trust, beasts you can't trust, but Bussekin steel you can trust
