Welcome <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />- too bad on the Ratweiler as they are one hell of a knife. As for the DM- there are many different types. I actually prefer the original with the penetrator tip and old style Busse scales <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. Plus they are a bit more beefy. I just picked one up from a fellow dawg and am going to have it stripped and convexed. Make it into one nice user that goes under the seat of my rig. Enjoy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

JT - Howdy and Welcome to the Scrap Yard! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> If your Ratweiler was too big for you the S5LE should be what you are looking for! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the warm welcome. And thank you MRpink for the answer. I have another for you. How wide is the dumpster mutt dc? Is it the right size to fit a spec ops combat master (small)? I hope one of you guys got my old ratweiler. I didn't realy know what they were going for at the time and I let mine go $185. It was still in good shape. Just the coating in the sweet spot had smoothed out. I am still kicking myself for that.

Thanks again,

JT

I'm not sure on the exact width of the DMDC, but I know it will fit the small spec ops combat master nicely. I have the DMCG, which is pretty much the same as the DC but thicker and it fits in my spec ops combat master.

Welcome to the Yard!

I had a ratweiler a while back and stupidly sold it on ebay.

I kept mine! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> If you haven't seen the Chopweiler, it's similar to the Ratweiler.

Andy, you make my very jeolous. You have nearly a metric ton of great knives. The chopweiler is even beefier. I started my Iraq tour with the ratweiler but found it to be just too big for what I was doing. But, I always believed I could have cut my way out of an up armored hummer with it. I had slot of people try to trade me stuff for it. Once a Mongolian soldier even offerd up his AK-47. I must have had a brain fart when I sold it.

Thanks for sharing.

JT
