Hello everyone. I have been reading the posts here for a while and finaly decided to join up. I had a ratweiler a while back and stupidly sold it on ebay. I just now ordered a scrap yard from the same place. I have a bit of a question that I am sure some of you dogs can help with. Is a dumpster mutt differentially tempered? I know the ratweiler is, and I respected the heck out of that knife. It was just too big for what I was using it for. Like many of you, I realy see a great community here on the Busse forums. Thanks for any help you can offer. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
JT Welcome to the Yard. I am glad you jumped in. Dumpster Dan

Welcome to the yard.
The Dogs are correct. An S5 in CG or LE would be a prime EDC. I've used mine for everything from setting snares to skinning and opening canned foods. I have put this thing through hell and it just keeps begging for more.

You guys are full of good info. Thanks for taking time out to fill me in. I may have to take a harder look at the S5.

I am very intersted in what the yard will produce. I have offered input in all the threads about a design. It would be sweet if my ideas were used in even one of them. I have seen where alot of guys have wanted to see a machete come from the Busse family. Personally, I would like to see a pure fighter, double edged beast. I know that double edged in double grinding and more cost. There are alot of famous daggers out there, I want to see the yard make one that beats them all!
Long live the Yard,
JT
