I think the SAR8 is a terrific looking knife, but I'm afraid it's out of my reach. The Bushwhacker Mistress also looks GREAT, but it will probably be too much for me as well. Congrats to those who can get them - they're awesome!

That is a slick looking knife but I try to buy things that I can actually use and I don't think I could bring myself to use such an expensive knife. Now that does not mean I am not drooling over the knife right now

The toughest part is putting the first mark on it. After that, it's pretty easy. I have some great pictures of abusing a knife that will retail for over 800 bucks, but I can't show them for a few more months

I think the SAR8 is a very good looking knife. If I had the extra $$$ lying around, I'd go for one. So far the only factory Busse LE I have is the HG55LE.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

You could probably pick up a Chopweiler, Camptramp and Dogfather on the secondary market for the same money....not much of a decision as far as I'm concerned !!!!

Yep. The SAR8 looks a little like the Bravo 2's big brother to me.

Heard about the Bravo-3? Bigger and made in 3V steel. Maybe. I wonder how 3V stacks up against INFI? I'm sure some of our resident steel experts can tell us.

I would like to see the Bravo 3 come out but from what I read it's going to be limited and alot of $. Maybe they will make a Bravo 1 in 3v

INFI is still better than 3V !!!

3V is prone to chipping !

It looks like a nice blade but the only Busse I want at the moment is a Mistress. I got a SAR 5 from Jackell last week and I am really liking it thus far but that money is too much for me. I love my Yard blades!

I don't know how we survived before all these "super" steels. 1095, 440C, 420HC, S7, and 52100 all seem to work fine for me if they have a good heat treatment. INFI is a fantastic steel, and I love my Busses, but honestly, I don't really need it most of the time. I have to pick and choose when buying Busses because of the expense. I have been saving up for a Bushwacker. Just exactly why I think I need an INFI camp machete, I can't say, but I want one. Maybe it's just to have the ultimate machete.

Looks like a SAR8 Satin SE model is coming soon - possibly even tonight. I'm F5ing the Busse Company Store website after a hint from Skunk. I'm curious how much cheaper it will be. What I really want is a coated combat grade, but I'd settle for satin SE for the right price.
