The more I look at it, the more I want it.
I really dislike the sar4 - useless sharpening choil, handle way too big for the knife, way too heavy for its length...
The sar-8 addresses all of those complaints. It's a knife big enough to make a choil useful, with a choil large enough to do you some good, and a blade length that's appropriate for the handle. I'm very curious how it will compare to the NMSFNO in terms of balance and performance.
I really really wish they would offer a CG version, or at bare minimum an SE version. I also really wish they would announce the potential availability of those versions at the same time they announce the LE. I know a lot of folks felt burned after buying their SAR4LE's and finding out a month later that they could have had a variety of handle colors on a less expensive knife.

I'm a fan of blades which are a bit more svelte. I love the BM-E and am looking forward to the Buswhacker Mistress. The FFBM is, in my eyes, one of the most obnoxiously bulky, overbearing, ugly knives Busse has ever put out. I'm much more of a Mojo sort of guy.
I'm looking forward to hearing how this sar 8 balances.

Its not a bad looking knife, but I know its out of my price range...and I'm kind of glad too.
I can't wait for the bushwacker to come out, I'm saving up for one of them.

im with you mustard the more i look at it the more im in love. I think it looks well balanced and the handle looks really comfy. Although for a chopper length blade it almost doesnt look like it has enuf weight to be very useful. Then again it kinda looks like the dog blade with a more slender round in the chopweiler handle. Looks wise i think its sexy as hell. Usefullness ratings for the size not the best. I think it needs more weight in the blade.
