It doesn't always do it. Just now I had to refresh 22 times before it loaded.

I guess my best option is to go on line between 9.00am and 12.00pm over here...that's your 3.00am to 6.00am...the quiet times have the forum working reasonably well for me...the busy times and I cannot post and have problems loading or looking at the main post index. I guess I can live around it...if I don't post quickly to a thread I start or answer questions etc...you can understand why... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

JYD #119 Just because you're right doesn't mean I'm wrong.

I'm on vacation this week and have had problems gettin on from home for 3 days now. Does just fine at work, and used to work fine from home, but not now. Hope things get straightened out, having to f5 20-30 times is frustrating.

Thanks again for the heads up, we have another call into our service provider.

For what its worth I was having trouble until I uploaded some MS fixes for Explorer...seemd to take care of it for me...but who knows...f5 should only be needed when you are trying to get the jump on a deal <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />

I will let you know what we find out

Dan

Well I use Explorer as well and funnily enough I only developed this issue after up-loading the latest set of updates...they were supposed to make connections quicker...as to whether they simply now "time me out" rather than enable me to connect quicker I don't know...but I don't have problems on other forums...so I figured it might be just this one or the higher amount of users since the S5LE was released...I don't know...and don't know enough to fix it...I have rang aol my ISP and they say nothing is wrong with my aol programming...it's a bit of a "bummer" not being able to post etc...

The last 3 or 4 times I've tried to log on, no go. BUT if I have IE to diagnose the poroblem and then click on either send or don't send, it will go ahead and bring up the ScrayYard! IT's above my paygrade to figure out, but if I gotta do that to log on, No problem, as long as I CAN log on.

I'm a Firefox user -- the only time I use IE is to test webapps at work. It's a lot easier to lose a customer than get them back, and Microsoft lost me to Mozilla sometime around late IE4. Then, once it became obvious that mozilla.org was going to concentrate on Firefox and ignore the Mozilla browser, I switched again. My boss (a Mac guy) is quite fond of Safari, but unless/until Firefox goes down some stupid path that drives me away, I'll stick with them.

Those having problems using IE may benefit from trying a different Web browser -- I always install multiple browsers for troubleshooting. If a problem is common to multiple browsers, then it's something else (perhaps a Web site's CSS or page scripting), but if it's browser-specific I can search for browser configuration issues (it may still be CSS or scripting, but a different subset of browser-specific issues). I also test from multiple computers, which can help spot whether it's computer-specific, or an issue related to the browser patch/version.

From my work, both IE (v 8.0.6001.18702) and Firefox (v 3.5.2) running on WinXP Pro (SP3) work fine right now.

I just had to reload 13 times before it loaded. I wouldn't think the site would be busy enough to cause this at 3:30 am...
