Sorry that I have not been here for the past few days but we took direct lighting strike to our home. We lost a bunch of electronics including my networking gear and PC along with a flat screen television. When it hit, the light was blinding and the sound was unlike anything I have experienced.

The good news is that no one was hurt and the house is still standing. The bad news is that I have been trying to get by without electronics…I may need a doctors help to deal with this one. Wow our pioneering fore fathers were really something

electronics can be replaced.... people cant....

but seriously dan cause of an ice storm where i was with out power for week i now try to spend a few weeks a year not using modern means minus utilities... i dont even turn the lights on , i hang up the phone.... but i see how lucky i am to live in this time... i go camping but i got tons of electronics still...

my neighbors got struck once and set their rear terrace roof on fire...everyone acted quick though to inspect what had happened when we saw the flames.
