Good to hear everyone came out of it alright.
The last strike that happened close to my place was in my neighbor's camper. It turned into ball lightning inside of the vehicle for about 10 seconds then exploded and took the roof off. Lightning is no joke.

When I was a kid (oh, say 11-13) lightening hit the portable tv next to my bed (about 4 ft away) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> scared the -- out of me, loudest noise and brightest light I ever seen. BUT, all it did was fuze the on-off switch on! Panasonic made some good stuff!!!

The real problem is when you forget to ground your CB Base station antenna. LOL

Wow...we have several light switches that will not shut off...they are still trying to figure out where it welded itself together

Here is a wild one, one of my back up desk tops lost the e-net card from the strike so I rebooted and used the wireless card. This is actually how I got back on the net. But the computer does a very strange thing...when most monitors go to sleep from non use this computer actually shuts itself down as if you did a complete power down...cant seem to figure out how to correct it...but it works as long as I am active.

It will be some time before we get everything back to working order

I just bought my Mossberg 500 at Big5. The guy also hooked me up with some .223 at a real good price. At least it's good to know us firearm/knife guys help each other out.
