I know Maisy has a few fans on this site so it only seems right I let you know about her latest dice with death !

I fetched her home from the vets yesterday after having an operation and spending the night there, the vet told me had I been an hour longer in getting her there she would have died !!!!!
It seemed she was playing with Snicker running after fallen apples and managed to get 1/4 of one stuck in the opening to her stomach !!!!
She could hardly walk and was breathing heavily so I rushed her to the vets thinking she had twisted her stomach.
Anyway they had a nightmare getting the obstruction out and had to go in from both ways to get it. She seems to be doing ok and even went for a very short walk today !

The cone came straight off and she hasn't tried to lick her wounds !

That's some stitches eh and then she has lots more internally !!!!

She's now 8 so the op was a pretty big deal at her age eh ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I'm glad she's doing OK - I am a dog person through and through - I tend to like four legged companions MUCH better than the two legged variety most of the time. Dogs are just plain awesome.

My dad lost his dog recently, because she got loose and got into someone's garage and found some antifreeze. He didn't take it well at all. I'm very glad your story has a happier ending.
