Basically I had taken both dogs for a walk and came across an apple tree. I started throwing the apples for both dogs to chase as I would do with their balls.
Somehow Maisy had managed to swallow about a 1/4 of a large apple whole, either on purpose or caught it in her mouth and some flew down her throat.
The apple finished up wedged fast in the entrance to her stomach and took the vet quite some time to manage to dislodge it !

man, that must have been scary. my dog had a bad allergic reaction, skin and face got puffy and started to droop down, rushed her to the vet and they gave her a shot and some benadryl. I thought it was due to a spider bite because she always wanders into corners and tight spots in the yard chasing cats, we found out later it was due to a change in her food/diet so we switched back to the old stuff.

sounds like maisy is healing well, and i hope she continues too!

I'm glad you're dog survived the ordeal. My wife has asked me to stop throwing the tennis ball as she's worried that one will just swallow it.

Anyway, continued healing powers to you dog.

Inside each knife is a new adventure waiting to be had...maybe some blood and probably some suture.
