Why would you beat on a knife when you can take it to a machine shop and have
them flip and flop it across a de-magnetizer for a few seconds and there ya go!!
Sure it might have shavings that always hangs up on a magnetic scribe but thats
about it..!!

Actually I meant taking the knife out for a chopping session. Or maybe beating it with a baton through some really ugly wood. Why would you want to? Because it's a really tough knife made for really tough work, and it loves a good romp.

Besides, it's more fun that way than zapping it with a demagnetizer.
